With over 7 million career streams to date and songs featured on some of Spotify’s top alternative editorial playlists, FKA Rayne is working hard to cement herself as an upcoming staple in the Canadian rock scene.
The Vancouver based artist first started on her rock trajectory with her breakout single ‘Side Effect’, which has amassed over 3.4 million Spotify streams and been added to 88k fan playlists since its release in June of 2022. Originally dabbling in pop before switching over to her current nu-metal and industrial influenced sound, FKA Rayne received radio play at some of the top stations in Canada on the single ‘Envious’ from her debut FACTOR funded EP ‘False Love’, was made the face of Amazon music’s ‘artists to watch 2020 list’, and was invited by Live Nation to play pre-show for Billie Eilish.
Despite the promising opportunities presenting themselves in the pop world, it just wasn’t where her heart was set. After changing management and creative teams, FKA Rayne was able to experiment more with her sound and identity, allowing her to delve back into her emo kid roots, falling in love with early 00’s nu-metal. ‘WOOF’, FKA Rayne’s most recent release has captivated audiences with its bombastic, fun, and aggressive energy. The song has been used almost 400 times on user generated videos on Tiktok and Instagram reels, and was featured on Spotify’s ‘New in Metal’ editorial playlists, following in the footsteps of releases ‘Loathe’, ‘Kill Me Now’, ‘Can’t take me’, and ‘Perverse’ which all also received placements on playlists including ‘Misfits 2.0’, ‘Ready to Rock’, and ‘Equal Canada’.
FKA Rayne is represented by Don Robertson for management and is continuing to release new music on a 6-8 week schedule, with plans to release an EP by the end of 2024.
